सुम्निमा [Sumnima]

Sumnima by Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala delves into the profound clash and confluence of two distinct cultures: the rigid, ritualistic Aryan way of life represented by Somadatta and Puloma, and the free-spirited, natural existence of the Kirat tribal daughter, Sumnima. The novel critically examines themes of love, desire, and the hollowness of ritualistic actions devoid of genuine emotion, asserting that true happiness stems from authentic connection rather than superficial adherence to tradition.
