A Hundred and One Days

From January to April 2003, Åsne Seierstad reported from Baghdad for various international media outlets. Her objective extended beyond military developments; she aimed to uncover the daily realities and human experiences of Iraqis living under the dual threats of governmental control and the impending American and British invasion. This journal chronicles her 101 days in the city, detailing how ordinary lives navigated the constant tension, the silent fears under Hussein's regime, and the sudden, disruptive impact of war on essential services and social fabric.
