Best Foot Forward

Best Foot Forward
is a concise, insightful, and often humorous spiritual companion for travelers embarking on a pilgrimage to the four sacred Buddhist sites in India and Nepal: Lumbini, Bodhgaya, Sarnath, and Kushinagar. Written by revered Buddhist teacher Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse, the book transcends the typical guidebook format to offer pilgrims not just logistical guidance, but spiritual purpose.
Rather than focusing on sightseeing or historical trivia, Dzongsar Rinpoche encourages travelers to cultivate the right motivation, attitude, and awareness when visiting these holy places. He explains what each site symbolizes in the life of the Buddha and how modern-day practitioners can make their journey meaningful, both spiritually and emotionally.
Accessible yet profound,
