फातसुङ [Faatsung]

Fatsung is a word in Lepcha. The word translated to The Story Of The Soil. Fatsung is the story of the earth, the story of Darjeeling. This is a story of dozens of youngsters who fight for Darjeeling, whose dream is lost. This is a story of the ones who lost their age. It is also a story of a martyr for whom thousands of lives are offered. पछिल्लो बाहिरी पृष्ठबाट फातसुङ लेप्चा शब्द हो । यसको शाब्दिक अर्थ हुन्छ— माटोको कथा । खासमा फातसुङ धरतीको कथा हो । अर्थात् दार्जिलिङको कथा । यो दार्जिलिङका निम्ति लड्ने दर्जनौं युवाको कथा हो, जसका सपना हराएका छन् । यो ती सुस्केराहरुको कथा हो, जसले आफ्ना उमेर गुमाएका छन् । यो एउटा सहिद सपना पनि हो, जसका निम्ति हजार जीवन चढाइएको छ । ठेट दार्जिलिङे लवजमा लेखिएको फातसुङ जातीय पहिचानका लागि गरिएको आन्दोलन चियाउने एउटा सुन्दर आँखीझ्याल हो । नेपाली बोलिने भारतीय भेगबाट पछिल्लो समयमा आएको सम्भवतः सबैभन्दा सशक्त उपन्यास हो ।
