From Here to Enlightenment

From Here to Enlightenment presents the Dalai Lama's most extensive teaching in the West on a seminal Tibetan Buddhist text. When he went into exile in 1959, he carried with him his copy of Tsong-kha-pa's classic The Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment, which distills the essential points of Tibetan Buddhism. In 2008, celebrating the completion of the English translation, he gave a historic six-day teaching at Lehigh University, the longest he has ever given on a single text. This book makes those teachings available to a wider audience.
