Gigi, and The Cat

Gigi is being educated in the skills of the Courtesan: to choose cigars, to eat lobster, to enter a world where a woman's chief weapon is her body. However, when it comes to the question of Gaston Lachaille, very rich and very bored, Gigi does not want to obey the rules. Don't read novels, they only depress you.
Do not gesticulate, it is common. Don't put on powder, it ruins the complexion. Don't get to know the families of your school friends, especially not the fathers.
Never wear second rate jewels; wait till the really good ones come to you. So begins the education of Gigi, a wide-eyed ingénue who is being schooled to become a courtesan. However, when it comes to the question of Gaston Lachille, heir to a fortune, Gigi has no intention of playing by the rules much to the exasperation of Grandmamma Alvarez and Aunt Alicia.
