Grundrisse

“Grundrisse” is a crucial precursor to Marx’s “Capital,” offering deep insights into his philosophy and vision for a communist state. Written during the winter of 1857-8, this collection of seven notebooks expands on the ideas presented in the “Communist Manifesto” and explores themes central to “Capital.” It marks Marx’s first scientific exploration of communist theory, introducing his version of Hegel’s dialectics and developing his mature views on labor, surplus value, and profit. The work also provides fresh perspectives on alienation, automation, and the risks of capitalist society.
