Just for the Love of It

In 'Just for the Love of It,' Cathy O'Dowd recounts her extraordinary journey across four Everest expeditions. This includes her groundbreaking 1996 ascent via the south col route, making her the first South African to conquer Everest. It also details her 1998 attempt on the north ridge, and her triumphant return in 1999, where she became the first woman globally to climb Everest from both sides. A final chapter details her challenging 2003 attempt to forge a new route on Everest's east face.
