Studies in Hysteria
is a groundbreaking collaboration between Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, and physician Josef Breuer. This seminal work presents their joint findings on hysteria, featuring influential case studies, most notably Breuer's famous patient Anna O., whose treatment proved pivotal in the early development of psychoanalytic thought. The book combines an introductory paper, detailed individual studies (four by Freud and one by Breuer), a theoretical essay by Breuer, and a practice-oriented piece on therapy by Freud.
