The Camomile Lawn

In the sweltering heat of August 1939, five cousins gather on the Cornish cliffs for what will be their last carefree summer before the world is engulfed in war. Oliver, a disillusioned nineteen-year-old returning from the Spanish Civil War, is joined by the beautiful and self-serving Calypso, who is set on marrying for wealth. Polly and Walter, siblings with secrets, and the unloved little Sophie complete the group. As they bask in the sun on the camomile lawn, they are unaware of the tumultuous whirlwind of love, betrayal, and loss that awaits them.
