The Connector Manager

Based on a global study of over 9,000 people by Gartner, "The Connector Manager" reveals a revolutionary approach to employee development. This book introduces the "Connector Manager" – a distinct leadership type proven to build significantly higher-performing teams by strategically connecting employees to a broader network within their organization, rather than relying solely on direct coaching.
Gartner's research identified four manager types, with Connector Managers consistently outperforming others. Unlike "Always-on Managers" who provide constant, often detrimental, feedback, Connector Managers empower employees to expand their skills and knowledge beyond the manager's own expertise by fostering connections. This method leads to superior independent development and team performance.
Drawing on groundbreaking data, in-depth case studies, and interviews, this book outlines the specific behaviors of Connector Managers. It provides practical insights for leaders to adopt these strategies, cultivate stronger employee networks, and ultimately build more effective and agile teams.
