The Rubais of Rumi

The Rubais of Rumi
presents 233 evocative rubais—short, aphoristic poems—from the revered 13th-century Persian mystic Rumi. While Rumi is celebrated for his extensive
Divan-i Kebir
, these less-known rubais offer concise yet profound insights into spiritual longing and divine connection. Unlike other poets who meticulously craft their work, Rumi's rubais flowed spontaneously as he journeyed through Konya. Translated from the original Persian by Nevit O. Ergin and Will Johnson, this collection makes these unique expressions of mystical truth accessible to the contemporary Western world.
