The Secret Place

Detective Stephen Moran, from Dublin's Murder Squad, gets drawn into a chilling cold case when sixteen-year-old Holly Mackey presents him with a photo found on her elite boarding school's anonymous message board: "I KNOW WHO KILLED HIM." The photo depicts Chris Harper, a boy murdered on school grounds a year ago, whose case remains unsolved.
Moran partners with the sharp but abrasive Detective Antoinette Conway to investigate the renewed lead. Their inquiry quickly zeroes in on Holly's tight-knit group of friends, their rivals, and the intricate relationships connecting all the girls to the deceased Chris Harper. As they delve deeper into the complex social dynamics of St. Kilda's School, the detectives face growing pressure. Conway suspects Moran's ties to Holly's family, the school aims to protect its reputation, and Holly’s father, Detective Frank Mackey, vigilantly guards his daughter. Unraveling the secrets within this private world of teenage girls proves more perilous and mysterious than either detective anticipated.
