The Solitude of Prime Numbers

In Paolo Giordano's 'The Solitude of Prime Numbers,' Alice and Mattia are two individuals forever shaped by childhood tragedies. Like prime numbers, they exist in proximity but remain fundamentally solitary, drawn to each other by a shared understanding of their internal wounds yet struggling to truly connect. Their intertwined destinies are marked by irreversible childhood events—Alice's skiing accident and anorexia, and Mattia's abandonment of his twin sister—leading to a lifetime of unspoken emotions and a poignant search for belonging.
