The Soul-Catchers

In this moving literary exploration of grief and connection, eleven recently deceased protagonists find themselves lingering in the afterlife. Rather than moving on, they are offered a final opportunity to observe their loved ones from the perspective of everyday objects. By inhabiting items like a treasured mug, a hearing aid, or a child's climbing frame, these souls gain a unique vantage point on the lives they left behind. This profound work captures the Japanese folk belief in the spirit of objects, offering a witty and sensual meditation on the difficulty of letting go.
