Lonely Londoners

The Lonely Londoners is a poignant and humorous exploration of the immigrant experience in 1950s London, capturing the lives of West Indian newcomers as they navigate a city that is both foreign and unwelcoming. At Waterloo Station, Moses Aloetta, a seasoned resident, meets Henry ‘Sir Galahad’ Oliver and guides him through the challenges of urban life. Despite the cold, foggy environment and the occasional hostility from locals, Galahad and his fellow immigrants, including the aimless Cap and the overwhelmed Tolroy, strive to build new lives. As Moses observes their struggles, they gradually adapt and find joy in the vibrant city.
